Disaster Risk Reducation Education

This issue not only introduces the team to assist the Ministry of Education to incubate a resilient disaster prevention campus, but also introduces a new member of disaster prevention - the mascot Tiger Disaster. It leads readers to review the global natural disasters that are worthy of attention in 2021, and experience all kinds of natural disasters that with harm and ruthlessness to human life and property, which reflects the instinct of natural disaster prevention education, that is it never too late to prepare for disaster prevention in advance through practice on and on, even though there is always out of control when natural disasters attacking.

The content of this issue is also recording the feelings of a youth ambassador that go through the training courses camps, international forums and other activities held by Ministry of Education on disaster prevention topic. Who’s perspective reflects the core value of disaster education rooting in youths and promoting by youths. 

Modern disaster prevention is inseparable from the application of technology. How to integrate disaster prevention knowledge and available resources can be grasped by fingers through internet technology, which will strengthen the efficiency of the prevention and rescue process in disaster attacking duration. Finally, this issue features a special report on characteristic school of disaster prevention - Doveland elementary school in Taichung city, that has integrated native culture with skill to formulate a series courses of disaster prevention and relief, lets children to learn knowledge and skill by experiencing the courses, and also sharing all the courses between schools to reflect the friendship of disaster prevention to be a whole family.
